It was my very first time photographing this lovely family and we couldn’t have had a more beautiful day for our fall family session! We chose to meet at Cheesman Park at the beginning of November, and as a pleasant surprise, we found that some of the garden’s roses were still in bloom!
I met this lovely mom years ago while we were both participating in a photography program in Washington, DC. I have been honored to photograph her family several times in the years since, both in DC and now here in Colorado. They made the decision to relocate to the area, just like my family – great minds must think alike! It was so great seeing her again for a family session last fall.
Most of the families and couples who choose to work with me share my love for nature, but as an outdoor family and elopement photographer, it’s important that I do my part to bring awareness to “leave no trace” and share some ways we can keep our state looking beautiful for years to come!
It’s always such an honor when friends trust me to capture moments with their families! I have known this beautiful mother-of-two since my very first days in Washington DC. When I lived there several years ago, we were both photography hobbyists and I’m so happy to say that we’ve been friends ever since!

It was my second time photographing this beautiful Colorado family, and so fun to see how the kids had grown as it had been about two years since our last session. They were still as happy and silly as the last time, and they were super fun to photograph!
It isn’t every day that you get to photograph your best friend! Kodi and I met several years ago when we were both only 16, but we’ve maintained our friendship over the years and across the miles.
I always love seeing him during my trips to Washington DC (it’s not a complete trip without time with Kodi!). This time it was extra special because we had a chance to capture some updated portraits of him.
I’ve been photographing this beautiful family for about a decade now, and we always have so much fun when we see each other during my annual trips to the Washington DC area! Since they really enjoy their time spent together at their home in Potomac, Maryland, we decided to stay put for their backyard session this fall!
Spring is such a cheerful and lively time of year, particularly here in Colorado. The last bits of snow have finally melted, the birds are chirping, bees are buzzing, and everyone is venturing outdoors to soak up the sunshine! But after we’ve exhausted all our usual ideas, we’re left looking for things to do, new places to see, or special events to attend. So, I’ve got you covered with a complete list of things to do this spring in Denver and the surrounding areas!
It was only three degrees outside on this couple’s elopement day (I had frost and ice in my hair when I hopped back in my car!), but I’m so glad we all braved the elements for a wintery ceremony at Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado.
