In December, I met this beautiful bunch for a winter family session near their home in Morrison, Colorado. They live in the foothills and their property has access to some scenic red rocks space – perfect for hiking, exploring, and of course – taking photos!
It was my very first time photographing this lovely family and we couldn’t have had a more beautiful day for our fall family session! We chose to meet at Cheesman Park at the beginning of November, and as a pleasant surprise, we found that some of the garden’s roses were still in bloom!
I met this lovely mom years ago while we were both participating in a photography program in Washington, DC. I have been honored to photograph her family several times in the years since, both in DC and now here in Colorado. They made the decision to relocate to the area, just like my family – great minds must think alike! It was so great seeing her again for a family session last fall.
Most of the families and couples who choose to work with me share my love for nature, but as an outdoor family and elopement photographer, it’s important that I do my part to bring awareness to “leave no trace” and share some ways we can keep our state looking beautiful for years to come!

It was my second time photographing this beautiful Colorado family, and so fun to see how the kids had grown as it had been about two years since our last session. They were still as happy and silly as the last time, and they were super fun to photograph!
Spring is such a cheerful and lively time of year, particularly here in Colorado. The last bits of snow have finally melted, the birds are chirping, bees are buzzing, and everyone is venturing outdoors to soak up the sunshine! But after we’ve exhausted all our usual ideas, we’re left looking for things to do, new places to see, or special events to attend. So, I’ve got you covered with a complete list of things to do this spring in Denver and the surrounding areas!
It was only three degrees outside on this couple’s elopement day (I had frost and ice in my hair when I hopped back in my car!), but I’m so glad we all braved the elements for a wintery ceremony at Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado.
Preparing to welcome another child into the world is such an exciting time! For this fall maternity session, I had the chance to meet a lovely couple and their toddler son for some family photos at one of my favorite secret locations in Denver.
This sweet couple came all the way from Georgia to tie the knot at a scenic Airbnb in Colorado Springs. The private property faced open space and had the most beautiful mountain views. The rental even came with a friendly Siamese house cat, an extra special guest for their intimate wedding.
