Snowy Winter Elopement with Two Brides – Lookout Mountain Colorado

Elopements

It was only three degrees outside on this couple’s elopement day (I had frost and ice in my hair when I hopped back in my car!). But I’m so glad we all braved the elements for a wintery ceremony at Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. Because this Colorado elopement photographer can’t resist a good shot!

Both brides are local Coloradans and had been dating for several years prior to getting engaged. They exchanged vows with an intimate ceremony officiated by Dan Gustad.

Lookout Mountain is an incredibly popular location for photography, and for good reason! Even with many outdoor locations to choose from, many engaged couples decide to get married here for the sweeping mountain views. However, with the active snowfall and cloud cover, the views just weren’t available on this particular day. Additionally, it was so slippery that it was difficult to navigate down to the rocky ledges. Where you can typically get the best vantage point.

However, Lookout Mountain – and Colorado in general – never disappoints when it comes to beauty and scenery! Even though the views were obstructed due to wintry weather, the fresh snow displayed its wonder by creating sparkling displays on the trees. Making everything glisten and glow! And the photos we captured as a result were simply magical!
