Fall is always the most popular (and busiest!) season for family sessions. The weather is perfectly cool and the scenery is epic with golden tones and splashes of color from the changing leaves. The days are also getting a bit shorter, making In the Light sessions possible for families with earlier bedtimes. So, really – what’s not to love?!
I met this incredible family for a beautiful outdoor family session at Belmar Park in Lakewood, Colorado. This peaceful, 132-acre park boasts tall grasses and a lake. There’s also lots of room to run and play, explore nature, and check out some cool farm equipment. If you’re up to it, you can even check out Belmar Park’s neighbor, Heritage Lakewood, a 20th century history park, museum and festival experience. Either park would make a great choice for a fall family session!
During our time together, we enjoyed playing in the flowers and along the path by the lake. We also made sure we stopped to say hi to the ducks!
We wrapped up our fall family session with lots of running, playing, hugging and snuggling as the sun began to set over the horizon.
