Intimate Denver Wedding – Museum of Nature & Science

Intimate Weddings

I absolutely love when engaged couples find ways to incorporate sentimental details into their wedding day plans!

Nineteen years ago, this lovely couple met at the pavilion at City Park, so they chose to say their vows at the nearby Museum of Nature & Science. We had fun celebrating with their families and friends, including some of the museum’s prehistoric creatures!

Everyone arrived at the museum for all the usual wedding preparations. Prior to the ceremony, the couple decided on a “first look”, so they could spend some quality moments together (and snag a few hugs and kisses!) before saying their vows.

The Colorado weather had surprised us the night before with temperatures that dropped to only 45 degrees on June 1st. These two were such good sports as they moved their ceremony indoors from the rooftop terrace, where it was originally planned to take place. The bride’s brother walked her down the aisle and the couple exchanged their vows with their family and closest friends in attendance.

It was great working with the lovely Kaitlin Shea, who officiated a beautiful ceremony for the couple.

After the ceremony, we spent some time capturing photos of the bride and groom with their families in the museum’s beautiful outdoor space.

I loved hearing so many stories about these two and their relationships with family members. Their children, siblings, and parents said that no matter the distance, they always find ways to stay close. For example, they play bridge together online every week!

The couple also insisted on some photos with some of the museum’s prehistoric creatures, confirming that they’re just as fun as they are sweet!
