I think it goes without saying that I absolutely love to travel. One of my favorite places to visit each year is the perfectly nicknamed Sunshine State of Florida. While visiting, I always pay a visit to a family I’ve been photographing for since before their middle daughter was born, and I always enjoy our annual fall sessions! This time, we decided to hit the beach, and chose Sand Key State Park for their family session in Clearwater, Florida.

It was pretty packed on the day of our session, but they were all great sports as we battled the crowds and even some prickly sand spurs. Despite not having a water bag for my camera, we had fun splashing around and playing in the waves! Mom was surprisingly okay with the girls getting their dresses wet (and they were happy to oblige!), but their big brother wasn’t so sure about taking the plunge to get his nice shorts wet. All things considered, we had a fantastic session!

There’s nothing better than a little fun in the sun, and after this session, I am reach to hit the beach again! I can’t wait to get back to Florida to see this family again.
