I’ve been photographing this beautiful family for about a decade now, and we always have so much fun when we see each other during my annual trips to the Washington DC area! Since they really enjoy their time spent together at their home in Potomac, Maryland, we decided to stay put for their backyard session this fall! Even though I am a Denver family photographer, I always love getting to visit the east coast for trips like this!

For the first part of this family’s backyard session, we decided to bring some of their home outside. We made use of a rug and chair for some fun posed shots, and then we jumped straight into some rugged play with the boys!

We took advantage of some pretty pink blossoms in the yard and captured some sentimental shots of the boys with just their mom, and then again with just their dad. How sweet! And of course, we let mom and dad slip away together for a few photos as well!

And for the grand finale of our backyard session, we opted for a big dip in the pool – myself included! Each of the boys enjoyed showing off their impressive diving skills and tricks, and I took extra care to keep my cameras from getting wet. I’m always happy to do what I can to get the best shots!
