Graphic Designer Headshot Session – Downtown Washington DC

Branding

It isn’t every day that you get to photograph your best friend! Kodi and I met several years ago when we were both only 16, but we’ve maintained our friendship over the years and across the miles.

I always love seeing him during my trips to Washington DC – it’s not a complete trip without time with Kodi! This time, it was extra special because we had a chance to capture some updated portraits of him. It had been several years since I had a chance to photograph him, so I’m really glad we made time to do it during my visit last fall!

Kodi is an incredibly talented graphic designer, and we’ve always easily connected over our interests and both being in the creative world. Kodi is one of the most magnificent humans I know. It’s always an honor to photograph him, and more importantly be his friend.

You can check out his talent at The Un Group and follow him on Instagram for motivational quotes and great workout playlists!

We started our session at The Franciscan Monastery near Catholic University and snagged some shots among the columns, arches, and gates.

From there, we made our way to capture some photos with some vibrant DC street art. We chose the Greet Neptune in the heart of DC’s Bloomingdale neighborhood. It was created by artists Jeff Huntington and Juan Pineda during the 2019 Art All Night DC. The colorful artwork shows the Roman god of the sea looking down at pedestrians against an eye-popping backdrop of colorful blocks.

Finally, we switched outfits again for some fun headshots with a more industrial vibe!

Let’s meet for an urban headshot session!

If it’s been several years since you’ve updated your headshot photos, or your headshots don’t really feel like you or your brand, let’s talk! My goal is to help you show the world what you are all about. Let’s tell your story with a collection of images that represents not just WHAT you do, but WHY you do it, and WHO you are.

I hope you’ll reach out to me to share your story and ask any questions – I’d love to hear from you!
