I love when my clients trust me to help select the best location for their family sessions. Over the years, I’ve found some pretty incredibly spots in the Denver metro area and beyond. And while the mountain scenery is absolutely stunning here in Colorado (there’s really no denying it!), I always encourage my regular clients to give an urban family session a try. It’s always so much fun exploring downtown and you there’s a different vibe with unique backdrops around every corner.
This family first asked me to capture some family photos when their son was just five years old, and now he’s in high school and taller than his mom! I love that they’ve continued to trust me to document their family over the years. I’ve loved every session we’ve done together. We always have so much fun and choose a different location each year. One year, we even did a vacation session on a trip together to Napa!
For this session, we chose various backdrops in downtown Denver near the railroad bridge at 15th and Wynkoop. It’s a great location with just enough greenery and tons of architectural elements – perfect for an urban family session in the Mile High City!
And of course, an urban family session isn’t quite complete without a little playing and twirling!
