I love hearing from past brides and grooms about their experience while eloping in Colorado. And as a Colorado elopement photographer I feel a sense of responsibility to advocate for this stunning state, and all the locations that would be perfect for an elopement Colorado. But instead of talking you into it, I thought I would share what my past couples have said about why they chose to elope in Colorado.

The Scenery

And overwhelming amount of surveys came back claiming the scenery was the number one reason the couples chose to elope in Colorado. And it is no wonder! Colorado is filled with gorgeous landscaping. Hike up a mountain and get married on top of the world. Or, travel into the red rocks for an other worldly visual experience.

Dogs

This was a surprising answer that I thought not many people would know about. But, apparently Colorado is the only state that allows dogs to be a witness as your wedding! So, if you love your pets and want them to play a bigger role in your elopement Colorado, then have them as a witness!

“Honestly, because it’s the only state that allows dogs to witness your marriage license. 🙂 We love our dogs and always knew we wanted to involve them in our special day.”

Travel

Colorado is an amazing option for a destination elopement! And so many of my couples come from out of state just to tie the knot here. Because let’s face it, if you can double your wedding as an awesome vacation to an unknown place, why not?
