Weddings are always so special, but there’s something particularly memorable about a day that includes just those closest family and friends. That was the case with Thomas and Tracy’s intimate outdoor wedding that I was lucky enough to photograph this spring.
This sweet couple chose to get married outside at Farish Recreation Area, a cool spot tucked perfectly between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. The bride and groom said their vows with a close group of family and friends in attendance and an amazing view of Pikes Peak draped across the sky.
Just before the ceremony, it was pouring down rain like crazy, but the Colorado sunshine finally made an appearance, and just in time for them! The kids were in tow for this special day and the girls were so excited to wear tiaras, given by their mom, along with the most beautiful lace and periwinkle gowns. The littlest boy was dapper and matching the groom with the cutest suit and bow tie.
And of course, no wedding is complete without a little cake cutting and champagne toast!
After the ceremony, we made sure to capture lots of photos of the bride and groom together, but also lots of sweet moments with everyone together as a family. And it was so adorable that one of the littlest just didn’t want to let go – even during photos of mom and dad!
