Fall Festivals in Colorado, DC, and Florida

Even though we are already into the season, I thought I would compile a list of some of the best fall festivals, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes in the areas I serve, so you can spend the next few weekends soaking up all the fall color, picking a pumpkin for this year’s jack-o-lantern, and gobbling up all the apple cider donuts you can take!

Take a look through and see if any of these festive locations could be the perfect weekend activity for you and your family! 

Colorado

Anderson Farms Fall Festival

Where: Anderson Farms, Erie, Colorado

When: September 22nd – October 31st (daily, hours vary)

Attractions: 25-acre corn maze, smores & concessions, pedal karts, and private campfire stations (by reservation); stay after dark for Terror in the Corn and Zombie Paintball Hunt

Pricing: $15 age 4 and up (Mon to Thu), $23 weekend; children 3 and under: FREE

Corn Maze and Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms

Where: Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms, Littleton, Colorado

When: September 17th – October 31st (Friday-Sunday, 9 am – 5 pm)

Attractions: Bee themed corn maze and kiddie size maze, barrel train ride, and pirate ship escape room; pumpkins available during the Pumpkin Festival (October 8th-10th)

Pricing: $13 adult member; $15 adult, $13 student, senior, military, child (ages 3 to 15), $10 child member; children 2

and under: FREE

Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch – Pumpkin Carnival

Where: Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch, Longmont, Colorado

When: October 1st – 31st (Saturday and Sunday only, 9 am – 6 pm)

Attractions: Pumpkin and squash picking, hay maze, petting zoo, carnival rides, food trucks, and vendors

Pricing: Free parking and admission; $1-8/activity

Miller Farms Fall Harvest Festival

Where: Miller Farms, Platteville, Colorado

When: Labor Day – Mid November (9 am – 6 pm, daily)

Attractions: Tour a working farm, hayride, vegetable picking, petting zoo, and corn maze

Pricing: Adults (14 and up): $25.00, Children (4-14): $15.00 per person; children 4 and under: FREE

Washington DC/Virginia/Maryland

Cox Farms Fall Festival

Where: Cox Farms, Centreville, Virginia

When: September 18th – November 7th (September and October: 10 am – 6 pm, November: 10 am – 5 pm)

Attractions: Hayride, milking demos, slides and tunnels, swings, corn maze, animal petting at the goat farm, and musical performances on the stage; indulge in kettle corn, caramel apples, BBQ, and other tasty treats!

Pricing: $7-20/person, depending on date

Great Country Farms Harvest Festival

Where: Great Country Farms, Bluemont, Virginia

When: October 1st – 31st (weekdays: 9 am – 5 pm, weekends: 9 am – 6 pm)

Attractions: Pumpkin picking, roasting marshmallows on the bon fire, corn maze, apple press demonstrations, and fresh apple cider donuts

Pricing: Weekdays: $10/child & $12/adult; Weekends: $14/child & $16/adult, children 2 and under: FREE. Advance tickets recommended on weekends due to popularity.

Gaver Farm Fall Fun Fest

Where: Gaver Farm, Mount Airy, Maryland

When: September 3rd – October 31st (10 am – 6 pm, daily)

Attractions: Corn maze, jumping pillows, petting and feeding farm animals, giant slides, playgrounds, duck races, ball games, photo centers, and more

Pricing: $15/person on September weekends, $17/person on October weekends, $11/person on weekdays. Children under 2: FREE

Montpelier Farms Fall Festival

Where: Montpelier Farms, Upper Marlboro, Maryland

When: September 18th – November 7th (hours vary; see website for more information)

Attractions: Pick your own pumpkin patch, 7-acre corn maze, kiddie corn maze, hay bale maze, straw art, pumpkin painting, barnyard basketball, blazing bonfire, and more than a dozen on-site snack options

Pricing: $12/person; children 2 and under: FREE

Homestead Farm

Where: Homestead Farm, Poolesville, Maryland

When: October 1st – 31st (9 am – 5 pm, daily)

Attractions: Pick Your Own Apples & Pumpkins, scenic hayrides, cider, mums, fall squash, gourds, tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, cabbage, local honey, and fruit preserves

Pricing: $2/person general admission

Florida

Gallagher’s Pumpkin Patch

Where: Gallagher’s Pumpkins & Christmas Trees, St. Petersburg, Florida

When: Open for the pumpkin and Christmas tree season on September 25th (9 am – 9 pm, daily)

Attractions: Pumpkins, bounce house, petting zoo, food truck, multiple photo opps, and live music on the weekends

Pricing: FREE admission

The Perfect Pumpkin Patch

Where: Dave’s Christmas Tree Lot, Brandon, Florida

When: October 1st – 31st (Monday – Friday 1 pm to 8 pm, Saturday – Sunday 9 am to 9 pm)

Attractions: Rows of pie pumpkins, mini pumpkins, white pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, highly stacked hay bales, garden mums and multiple photo opportunities

Pricing: FREE admission; pumpkins are priced $3 and up

10th Annual Fox Squirrel Corn Maze

Where: Futch Entertainment, Plant City, Florida

When: October 9th – 24th (Saturday and Sunday only, 10 am – 5 pm)

Attractions: Pumpkin patch, hay rides, horse back riding, blue grass band, and great southern food

Pricing: $11/adult (18 and older), $10/youth (3-17), and children 2 and under: FREE

Sweet Fields Farm Fall Maze

Where: Sweet Fields Farm, Masaryktown, Florida

When: Select weekday dates and weekends through November 7th (check availability online and purchase tickets in advance)

Attractions: Corn maze, hay play area, hayride, mini maze, tree house play area, hay maze, tumbleweed rollers, jumbo foosball, pitcher pump duck races, access to harvest barn and pumpkin patch

Pricing: $9.75/person; children 2 and under: FREE
