This couple wanted to do things a little differently for their elopement session. Rather than capturing photos during a mountaintop ceremony, they asked if I would capture some epic mountaintop portraits of them as they celebrated their love prior to their courthouse wedding. Of course, I was incredibly honored to do so and enjoyed spending time with this bride and groom as they took in some quiet moments together in the Colorado mountains.
Our session took place this September and I don’t think any of us realized how cold it would be! These two braved the cold and snuggled up together – sometimes under a blanket to gain a bit of extra warmth.
They decided to celebrate with donuts afterward and tied the knot courthouse style the next day. What a beautiful way to remember the beginning of their lives together!
These two shared with me that one of their goals was to get a really awesome large portrait to hang in their ‘epic dining room’ at their home back in Kansas, so I can’t wait to see the final result! I love to hear when clients plan to print their photos and use them as decor in their homes, and I think they’ll have some stunning images to choose from. Just look at that beautiful light peeking out from behind the mountains and that crystal-clear blue sky!
For an epic mountaintop elopement session…
Look no further! I’d love to have the honor of capturing some picturesque photos on (or before!) your wedding day. I hope you’ll reach out to me to say hi or ask any questions you might have. You might also take a peek at my schedule to see if your date is available. When you’re ready to move forward with next steps, you can book your elopement session on my scheduling page and I’ll take it from there!
