When it comes to planning your wedding, it all comes down to your intentions and dreams for the day. If you and your partner value connection and joy, a small wedding in Colorado might be precisely what you’re looking for! As a Denver elopement photographer, I was thrilled to be asked to capture this couple’s beautiful day. Kristine and Tony created a wedding day that was authentic to their relationship, focusing on love and connection while surrounded by close family. It was a wonderful and intimate celebration that felt entirely true to who they are as a couple.

A Classic & Beautiful Wedding at Eisenhower Chapel
Kristine and Tony chose the historic and timeless Eisenhower Chapel in Denver’s Lowry neighborhood for their small wedding in Colorado. Their day was filled with laughter, joyful tears, and a blissful, love-filled ceremony. Often, the smaller ceremonies allow emotions to run high, adding to the romantic feeling of an elopement or small wedding. The chapel’s warm wood interior added to the cozy and warm aesthetic, creating the perfect venue for their big day.

Fewer Guests, Deeper Connection at a Small Wedding in Colorado
Our couple opted for a smaller guest list with their closest people. This allowed them to be genuinely present and focus on their relationship and the promises being made. There were no distractions or pressure; simply two people making commitments to one another. A close friend of their’s officiated the ceremony, making it feel more personal and heartfelt. Ceremonies that include family or friends as the officiant are always extra meaningful. They connect to the couple, leading to a powerful and emotional moment for everyone.

Candid Bridal Portraits After Their Small Wedding in Colorado
After the ceremony, we strolled the nearby neighborhoods for portraits to celebrate their marriage! We were able to capture moments that reflected their playful and joyful nature; it was a blast. While strolling through Lowry in Denver, the art was a unique contrast that allowed the photos to focus on their connection. Kristine’s joy-filled laugh and how Tony held her close reminded me why I love capturing a small wedding in Colorado. Every photo holds a memory from their special day.

Celebrating Love Your Way
Kristine and Tony’s wedding was the perfect reminder that weddings don’t need to be grand and extravagant to be unforgettable. All that matters is that they represent your relationship and your dream of a happily ever after. Whether you’re getting married on a mountaintop at sunrise or planning a small wedding in a chapel in Denver, it will be incredible. Filled with just as much joy, emotion, and power as any other wedding.
