Winter in Colorado is an incredible experience. It doesn’t get much better than the crisp mountain air, fresh snow, and breathtaking views. As a Colorado elopement photographer, I know many couples travel to Colorado to experience its beauty, and some brave the winter months for their big day! There’s magic in Colorado winter, and making promises to your partner, surrounded by quiet landscapes and snow-dusted mountains, which makes for an unforgettable day. Trent and Chloe embraced the season with adventurous spirits, proving that cold weather only adds to the overall celebration during their winter Colorado elopement. And if their wedding day wasn’t already special enough, a lost and found wedding ring moment made the day even more incredible – a true sign of luck and blessings.

Why Choose a Winter Colorado Elopement?
You might be picturing the mountains of Colorado with colorful wildflowers during the warm summer months or rich leaves in trees during the fall- both of which are stunning! However, a winter Colorado elopement can be just as incredible. Eloping in the winter isn’t just for the adventurous but also for those looking for a private experience. Imagine standing in the snow, bundled up, promising you’re forever to your partner, with powerful mountains as your backdrop. It’s unbeatable! Winter elopements in Colorado offer couples stunning scenery, an intimate environment for their ceremony, and a cozy vibe for their wedding day. Trent and Chloe embraced the cooler weather, making it more than just a season, but a part of their wedding day story.

A Snowy Celebration Filled with Love and a Bit of Luck
On this crisp December wedding day, surrounded by breathtaking views and tons of snow, Trent and Chloe came together to say, ‘I do!’ Their closest friends and family in attendance felt the overwhelming excitement and joy for our couple. While it was chilly, everyone was so excited to be a part of their big day. Dan Gustad, our officiant, led a beautiful ceremony for Trent and Chloe, guiding them through their vows. However, a little unplanned excitement unfolded in the background, and a ring went missing!

A Lost Ring Becomes a Lucky Charm
Without any interruptions to the ceremony or panic, a quiet search through the snow began for the ring. One of the rings had fallen out of a pocket into the snow, and trent and Clohe’s best friends were determined to find it! While our couple stood exchanging their vows, they surreptitiously began the hunt for the ring. It is as if, by fate, the ring was found just before Dan called for the rings. It was nothing short of a miracle and only added to the overall excitement of their winter Colorado elopement, and I didn’t even know any mishap had occurred until after the ceremony concluded! From that moment on, we all referred to the lost ring as a sign of good luck!
