One of the best parts about a Colorado wedding is the limitless possibilities for the day. We are so lucky to have incredible scenic spots throughout the state for epic hikes, photoshoots, picnics, and weddings. Jeffrey and Cheryl’s intimate Golden Colorado wedding was an absolute dream filled with love and excitement for this duo. While they kept the ceremony intimate with no guests, it was such a blast of a day! Lookout Mountain is an excellent option for couples seeking a private ceremony location with beautiful views and easy access.
A Sunrise Ceremony At Golden Colorado Wedding
Jeffrey and Cheryl are from Alabama and have been together for six years. Cheryl told me that their wedding day was ‘a long time coming!’ These two were such a hoot! They began their adventure with their honeymoon first, throughout Colorado, and saved their elopement for last. Our couple opted for a sunrise ceremony to avoid crowds and experience the early morning beauty found on the mountain. It was such a peaceful and stunning morning filled with joyful bliss.
While the morning had a bit of a chill to it, they didn’t mind at all! Jeffery and Cheryl said the early morning chill was a welcome change from the Alabama heat they experienced back home. After they read their vows and made their promises, it was time to celebrate!

After their ceremony, we chatted about their travels throughout the state, and the pair assured me this wouldn’t be their last time in Colorado! From visiting Telluride and the hot springs in Durango, they are enamored with Colorado. We decided to end their Golden Colorado wedding day with a champagne pop to celebrate. They got a kick out of popping champagne together; it was the perfect end to their fairy-tale honeymoon and elopement.
