This was my third time photographing this family. The first was a maternity session, followed by a family session when their little girl was pretty young, and now a sunflower session with little brother along for the first time. It’s been such a joy to document all the changes over the last few years – particularly how the little girl has become such a great big sister and how much her personality continues to blossom!

For our family session, we chose a sunflower field in Maryland. The family perfectly coordinated their outfits to compliment the earthy green, yellow, and brown backdrop. Their little girl even wore a dress with sunflowers embroidered across the top – so sweet!

Big sister and little brother were so snuggly and sweet, and I could instantly tell how much they all adore each other. We captured lots of special moments of them all together as a family of four, and I made sure we gave mom and dad a chance to sneak way for some extra cozy shots as well.

And while the sunflowers and their pops of yellow were stunning, a family session just isn’t complete without some time for the kids to run, swing, and play!
