After feeling cooped up indoors through the winter months, your family is probably like mine and looking for any excuse to be outside. But worry not because I’ve got some fun ideas for what to do with your family this spring put together all on one page, along with some suggestions for places to visit in each of my three photography locations – Colorado, Florida, and the DC metro area!
Take a trip to your neighborhood garden center and get planting in your backyard!

Florida: Green Thumb Nursery, 6913 Sheldon Rd, Tampa, FL
DC/Maryland/Virginia: Ginkgo Gardens, 911 11th St SE, Washington, DC

Let your kids choose their own kite before embarking on this outdoor adventure. (I found some fun ones here.) Then, on a windy day, scope out a huge open field where they can run while trying to get their kite into the sky.

Florida: Old McMicky’s Farm, 9612 Crescent Drive, Odessa, FL
DC/Maryland/Virginia: Frying Pan Farm Park, 2739 West Ox Rd, Herndon, VA

Check out one of the areas I’ve listed below or maybe use it as a starting point and venture out on your own from there!
Colorado: Larimer Square, Washington Park, or River North Art District (RiNo) in Denver
Florida: Ybor City, Tampa Riverwalk, or Gulfport in Tampa
