Help for Haiti NOW Print Auction!
January 24, 2010I don’t think a single one of us has made it this far, since January 12th and the news of the disastrous earthquake in Haiti, without thinking about how fortunate we are, and wondering how we can help. If only we could all travel to Haiti and lend a real hand. But for now, most of us are left with monetary donations as our only option.
If you haven’t had a chance to contribute to a charity yet or even if you have, but want to do more, I hope that you will participate in this print auction. The idea was inspired by a similar auction that ran last week at Switchcities, and they have a second auction running now. For this auction, I have gathered some wonderful and talented photographers, who have graciously offered to donate some of their artwork for the purpose of raising money. This is a great way to donate some money while walking away with a beautiful print for your home!
ALL proceeds are going to the Hope for Haiti Now Charity, donated in the winning bidders name. None of the photographers are taking profit from this auction at all.
Browse through the images, and if you see an image (or two or three!) that you’d like to have just click on it to go to the auction page. Please place your bids in the comments section of the individual image. All images have a starting bid of $10, but these are fabulous photos, so lets bid up to what they are really worth, in the name of Haiti!
The auction will end promptly at 5pm EST Friday afternoon. That’s THIS Friday, January 29th, 2010. For more info on the auction please visit the Auction Details page.
Check the blog frequently throughout the week to make sure you are winning your auction!
And this is crucial: Please help get the word out!! Please link this blog entry on your Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and email your friends! The more we raise, the more help we can send to Haiti.
