Rachel & Tim | A Bride, a Groom, Balloons and Fall Colors!

When you scroll through and only see portraits of this beautiful couple, you may think it’s just a preview from their wedding. But this is not a sneak peak of Rachel and Tim’s actual wedding because these weren’t actually taken on their wedding day! Rachel and Tim were married October 1st (Blog post on that soon to come!) and it just so happened that the weather was not cooperative at all that day! It was very chilly, very windy and extremely wet! So due to the fact that we couldn’t step outside for a single portrait of the two of them on their wedding day, I offered for us to meet up the next time I was in town to snag a few more portraits. Even though this time around we got a dry day, we still had a completely cloudy sky and rather chilly temps, but we didn’t let that stop the fun! I got lots of laughs and smiles out of these two, and a few model-esque shots too! (I mean hello, Rachel is GORGEOUS!) Enjoy, and stay tuned for their wedding!

Michelle & Ted | Keystone Mountain Wedding in Colorado

Tonight’s blog post is a fun one, because its the first time I get to show a wedding that I photographed locally here in Colorado, yay! I had gotten an email from a lovely photographer from Florida who is on the same photography forum I am on online, wondering if when she was in town for a destination Keystone Colorado wedding, if I could second shoot for her! I was so happy that it was actually a weekend I was in town and so for the first time I got to go up a ginormous ski lift, and photograph a wedding at 12,000 feet! The photographer I got to work with was the talented and very sweet Tiffany Coker of Avant Images out of Pensicola Florida. It was great to get to work with someone new, and with a super nice couple as well! I’m going to stop blabbing now though so that you can take a look at some of the mountain views, and an extremely gorgeous bride and handsome groom!!

Mark & Gina | An Art Studio Wedding in PA

I’m continuing to catch up on long overdue blog posts, and so tonight I give you Mark and Gina. Mark is one of five siblings, and one of his sisters is the lovely Becca who is a great friend of mine. She was kind enough to think of me when Mark and Gina were in need of a wedding photographer, and so this past spring I had the pleasure of photographing their big day. Mark and Gina have been together for many years, and the thought and personal touched they put into their day were so nice. They went against the grain and held both their wedding and their reception in a super cool art studio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Mulberry Art Studios They kept it simple by just having their two closest friends as maid of honor and best man, and had Mark’s band play at the reception. What a great celebration!

Lindsey & Corey | Gettysburg PA Wedding

I don’t have the opportunity to second shot a lot, in fact I had never second shot a wedding for another photographer until this summer. The way my venture into wedding photography started was such a whirlwind and (not that I am complaining) I was sent off to Austria for 5 days solo for my very first wedding, and pretty much since then i have always been the primary photographer at every wedding I have done. But second shooting is actually a nice change, because you get to relax a bit more, focus on your shots and let another photographer take center stage. Of course it always helps when the photographer you shoot for is super awesome, like Leo Druker who if you read my blog at all, you may know already since we actually shoot together quite frequently. Its just that this time the roles were reversed! Thanks to both Leo, and Lindsey and Corey who were a super sweet couple, for letting me take some photos!

Here’s a wedding that I have been wanting to get up on the blog because not only was it beautiful visually, but it was beautiful emotionally. These two sweethearts share a common bond over their college Alma Mater and so much more! Their ceremony was thoughtful and sweet, and involved not only the two of them, but their entire families. From the song her brother sang, to the communion blessed by both sets of parents, it was a truly memorable event. And of course as you will see, all the details and time and thought she put into everything was just stunning! With the help of her amazing florist Holly Heider Chapple they took her history and library theme to a new level! I should also say I had the help of one of my very favorite photographers, the amazing Leo Druker and so many of these lovely shots are credited to him! Congrats Erin & Robby!

Lily & Tony | Glen Echo Park Engagement & Wedding Sneak Peak

Today I had the pleasure of photographing Lily and Tony’s fun and unique wedding…I mean with a carnival theme, a plaid wedding dress, and a huge Candy Bar, how could it not be fun!? These two are quite a couple, and have a style and a love uniquely theirs. I haven’t had a chance to get their super fun engagement session on the blog yet- so I am going to take this opportunity to share a sneak peak from today, as well as share their engagement session, so by the time I have their full wedding on the blog, you’ll all be old friends! Congrats Lily and Tony!

So, I have to say it’s been a busy, busy summer! I’m engaged, we’re planning a wedding,we moved ourselves, our things, my business and our three pets to Denver, and I’ve had countless weddings and engagements to photograph as well as a few family portraits, senior sessions and boudoir shoots. Needless to say, I have a LOT to get up on the blog. So since I can’t post all of everything at once, I thought I would do a big preview post for what’s to come. Karyn & Mike | Swan Harbor Farm Wedding

Karyn and Mike got married on a spring Saturday at the beautiful Swan Harbor Farm in Havre De Grace, Maryland. The whole place was picturesque in every direction from the old barn, to the beautiful farmhouse, to the waterfroont gazebo and dock. Karyn planned her wedding to impreccable detail and had gorgeous flowers and details done by Ann’s Garden throughout every stage of the day. Her gown from Romona Keveza (swoon!)was classic and flattering, and her groom Mike brought a fun but sarcastic sense of humor to the day, which seemed to cheer Karyn up when it seemed her day was going to be ruined by rain.

But despite the rain, and a ceremony moved under a tent, and some tears, and me falling down during Karyn and Mike’s big entrance to their reception…I can’t help but say this wedding was still just as beautiful, and sweet, and fun as any wedding could hope to be! Thanks for sharing your day with me, and a huge congrats to you Karyn and Mike!

Amanda & Shane | Tabard Inn Wedding

It was only a month and a half ago that you saw this adorable couple right here on the blog for their engagement session, and shortly after posting those photos I had the pleasure of being part of their small but joyful wedding at the Tabard Inn in Washington DC. The Tabard Inn is a modest but gorgeous Inn nestled in the heart of Dupont Circle with loads of personality. It’s been there fore nearly a century and exudes old world charm. It was fitting that Amanda’s vision for herself was to exude the look of Grace Kelly, and with her gorgeous tea length gown, her elegant up-swept hair and her handsome military uniform clad groom, I think this wedding was everything she hoped it would be! Congrats Amanda and Shane, I was so thrilled to be there for such a special day!
