Emily + David | A Washington DC Hotel Monaco Wedding

You might recognize the lovely Emily & David from an engagement session I had here on the blog a few months back. They flew me to Kentucky to take engagement portraits in their hometown, and just last month, I flew again, but this time back to DC for their gorgeous wedding at the Hotel Monaco in Washington DC! From Emily’s adorable southern accent, to David’s adoring gaze on Emily, to the old wedding photos of family members before them decorating the reception, this wedding was truly a joy to photograph. And I have to extend thanks as always to the photographic talents of one of my favorite wedding colleagues- Leo Druker- as he helped me all day long and is responsible for several awesome photos below! Thank you Leo, and big congrats to newlyweds Emily & David!!

Chloe | Colorado Foothills Bridal Session

There’s not much I need to say for this post, I think it speaks for itself. Chloe contacted me for a bridal session, something I hope to do a lot more of, and we lucked out with a gorgeous warm sunny day. Doesn’t hurt that she is drop dead gorgeous either! Tiffany & John | A beautiful rustic backyard wedding!

As promised, here’s the follow-up to Tiffany and John’s engagement photos posted last week- it’s their gorgeous sunflower filled bakyard wedding! Tiffany planned this herself with the help of their families and the wedding was held on John’s parents gorgeous property in rural Virginia. They stood under a handmade sunflower adorned trestle (made by John himself) during the ceremony, hugged horses during portraits, smashed cupcakes and danced with bubbles at the reception and closed the night with a private and beautiful firework display!!! And I must give credit where credit is due, as always I like to shoot with talented second shooter, two are better than one, right!? Well this wedding was the first wedding I had the pleasure of photographing with the help of the lovely Marcella Treybig. Thankfully I got to shoot with her two more times before the end of the year, and I am sure we’ll be teaming up again this summer
