Heather & Dave | Breckenridge, CO Engagement

It was freezing, as in yes temperatures were below 32 degrees, but Heather and Dave were troopers and they happily trudged through a foot of snow so that we could get some great engagement photos! My favorite moment was when a HUGE gust of wind blew over us all, kicking up snow higher than we were tall, and you can see that Dave just kept right on kissing Heathers cheek and keeping her warm!! They were so easy to hang out with and photograph, one of those couples that’s just always laughing! I am so excited for their September wedding here in Colorado, congrats Heather & Dave!

Megan & James | Engaged!

Megan and James are quite obviously a beautiful couple, and when you are with them their quite but sweet interactions with each other are so great to watch. These two are ready to start life together and recently purchased a beautiful home in Silver Spring MD, and so when we did their engagement session we started out with a few shots at their home. Then, despite an overcast sky, we moved on to beautiful botanical gardens in their area. I am super excited for their October wedding, but without further ado I give you the beautiful Megan & James!

Emily & David | A Kentucky Destination Engagement Session!

Emily and David, I can’t say enough about these two! With a wedding planned in DC, but their current hometown being Lexington Kentucky, they decided it would be more fun and personal to do some engagement pictures at home, so they flew me out to Kentucky for a fun weekend of great food, great company, and great pictures! We drove all over the area, taking some shots down town, stopping on the side of the road to pet a few horses, and even doing a little race of our own at a true Kentucky racetrack- Keeneland. (Even though we found out we really weren’t supposed to be doing that) So I hope you all will enjoy it just as much, I can’t wait for their wedding in March!

Sara & Alex | Alexandria Waterfront Engagement

Here’s a few shots from a session I did back in the spring (I know, shouldn’t I blog in some sort of order? No I say to you, that would be too predictable!) But as I bundle up to go outside on a chilly day like today here in Denver – where we got 7 inches of snow yesterday (yes you heard me, over half a foot of snow 6 days BEFORE Halloween) I have to tip my hat to Sara and Alex who are in the last final months of gearing up for a tropical destination wedding, planned right in the heart of winter! So here’s to you two, congrats on the engagement, the upcoming wedding, and the good sense to escape to the tropics in the month of January!

Andrea & Bob | Washington DC engagement

Andrea and Bob have been through the ringer when it comes to their wedding plans… between changed dates and cancelled venues, and even a two part engagement session because our first attempt was on a super hot and humid thunderstorm filled afternoon! But despite all the wedding drama, these two have stayed happy and positive and I think you can tell by the photos that they know what really matters- how much they love each other! Marisa & Brian | A Mad Men Themed Engagement

It’s not every day that I get to photograph other photographers, but a few weeks ago I had the true pleasure of photographing the talented Marisa (Misa Me Photography) and her adoring fiance Brian for their engagement session, the pre-cursor to their upcoming December wedding! (Which I also have the honor of photographing!) And I have to say it was a super fun shoot! I can’t tell you how amazing it is to watch these two together….the way that Brian dotes on Marisa, all the pet names he calls her, and the way she sheepishly smiles and giggles in return. His proud admittance of how lucky he feels to have her is enough to make any outsider jealous, even those of us in amazing relationships ourselves! These two had seen a shoot I did last winter in Vegas with a Mad Men theme, and wanted to try that out for themselves…so we did a bit of Mad Men-esque work inside the gorgeous Westin hotel in Annapolis and then snuck outside just before an ominous thunderstorm passed over for some more relaxed shots in the last bit of sunshine! Thanks Marisa and Brian- can’t wait until December!!

Lily & Tony | Glen Echo Park Engagement & Wedding Sneak Peak

Today I had the pleasure of photographing Lily and Tony’s fun and unique wedding…I mean with a carnival theme, a plaid wedding dress, and a huge Candy Bar, how could it not be fun!? These two are quite a couple, and have a style and a love uniquely theirs. I haven’t had a chance to get their super fun engagement session on the blog yet- so I am going to take this opportunity to share a sneak peak from today, as well as share their engagement session, so by the time I have their full wedding on the blog, you’ll all be old friends! Congrats Lily and Tony!

Adena & Andy | A Denver Engagement

Moving to Colorado was a big move for Stefan and I and while we knew we have a few friends living out here, we of course wondered how it would go meeting new people. Well I have to say it feels like the friendliest place ever! Within two weeks of moving in, we had met all of our surrounding neighbors, including Adena and Andy. A couple our age who oddly enough got engaged the same day we did! Not to mention Adena’s ring and my ring are almost identical. Well it just seemed right that I would do their engagement photos, even though I can’t be there for their Massachusetts wedding. But I am so glad we met such great people, and I am so happy to say that we consider Adena and Andy great friends already! Congrats A+A!

So, I have to say it’s been a busy, busy summer! I’m engaged, we’re planning a wedding,we moved ourselves, our things, my business and our three pets to Denver, and I’ve had countless weddings and engagements to photograph as well as a few family portraits, senior sessions and boudoir shoots. Needless to say, I have a LOT to get up on the blog. So since I can’t post all of everything at once, I thought I would do a big preview post for what’s to come.
