About 2 years ago, thanks to the DCist.com and DC Flickr photography crew I met a fellow Delawarian – Matt – at one of the groups monthly meetups! Matt does some wonderful photography of his own and he and his fiance Lori work on a great blog together: Juxtaexposed. (Check it out!) Since you might figure based on how we met that they would know several wonderful photographers that could potentially take their engagement photos – I was honored that they asked me!

I loved that Lori and Matt were very creative with 3 locations and 2 giant purple balloons! I had such a great time on this shoot – it’s always nice to photograph friends!!! Congrats guys :)

rachel: erin--these are great! i love the balloons. they really add a bit of whimsy. the one with the big sky and silhouettes and balloons is my favorite. NICE WORK, as always!

Sarah and Ben Puppy Love!

October 1, 2009

It’s been a very busy few weeks! We’ve had several weddings and engagements!

Sarah and Ben contacted me a little while ago asking if they could bring their dog Frankie along on their engagement session, and I of course said yes!! I think you will see that depsite Sarah and Ben being a fine looking couple, Frankie tends to steal the show in some shots :)

Congrats on your engagement guys!

One wedding that was particularly great for me was my friend Rachel’s wedding. Rachel and I are both now officially graduates of the Center for Digital Imaging Arts and over the course of the last year and a half I had the pleasure of getting to know Rachel, and hear about her wonderful (now) husband Pat! It was so great to be able to photograph her special day last month after hearing so many wonderful things about their relationship. Rachel worked very hard to plan a beautiful day – and I think she did an amazing job – their day went off without a hitch despite some threatening skies!

Congrats Rachel and Pat!

rachel: Looking at these photos makes me so happy, Erin and Gino! You both did a phenomenal job photographing our wedding. The results are above and beyond what we expected (even though we knew you were excellent photographers). Thank you so much for capturing the day in unique, interesting, and unexpected ways and for sharing it with us as our friends!
