Josie
August 31, 2009Hi everyone,
I’d like to introduce you to Josie, my beautiful 4 year old Maine Coon Kitty Josie.

Josie was recently diagnosed with an agressive form of Cancer, most likely resulting from common vaccines all us pet owners give to our pets for their health and safety. As it turns out in some cases, these vaccines can cause a cancerous tumor to grow at the vaccine injection site. After learning about this disease and potential cures it seems as though her only hope at suvival is a complete amputation of the leg affected.
this is super scary fro me as I just feel horrible taking away her leg, even though I know I need to be looking at it as taking away the cancer (hopefully). This is major surgery and major money. I have set up a page for Josie for those of you animal lovers that might be inclined to help.
Josie and I thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and support!!

Danielle: Erin - Surgery day is coming up, isn't it?? Is this feline osteosarcoma? Duncan has the canine version. Sounds the same, his was believed to be caused from a previous spot of trauma. Life expectancy was 45 days - with amputation! But low and behold a year + later duncan is still trucking along ... so there is hope!!!
